  1. This file is made to give you a little help about the examples seated 
  2. in this directory.

  4. 1st example - file DATA.TXT
  5. If you need to export this file to a worksheet or to a database, you can
  6. prepare this work with MCXTRACT
  7. Select FILE/INPUT, choose DATA.TXT
  8. With the Define delimiter, open DATA.TAB, and select RETURN
  9. Enter an output file if needed: if nothing in the output file area, the
  10. output file will be DATA.XTR
  11. Select FILE/GO
  12. After proceeding, the file DATA.XTR is ready to be imported into
  13. a worksheet or into a database.

  15. 2nd example - file SOURCE.TXT
  16. You have been given a source text file, but with the number of each line
  17. ahead: suppose you need only the source text, for example to be pasted
  18. to another program.
  19. Select FILE/INPUT, choose SOURCE.TXT
  20. With the Define delimiter, open SOURCE.TAB, and select RETURN
  21. Enter an output file if needed: if nothing in the output file area, the
  22. output file will be SOURCE.XTR
  23. You can choose not to have the field names ahead in the output file
  24. Select FILE/GO
  25. After proceeding, the file SOURCE.XTR is ready
